I confess following. Several years ago, a goat which was (and is) reared in the campus of Tottori University of Environmental Studies (Students take care goats, and I am a responsible person for their activity) got out of their pasture area and entered a school building. It was midnight. I met the goat, and thought "You should not be here". But I , after looking at her face, said "Welcome, I know it was big travel" and spent much joyful time with her. Cleaning the area where she walked around in the building was big work for me, especially droppings.

What visual pattern makes toads take anti-snake defensive posture? Trial-and-error experiments clarified that the pattern shown in the left of lower picture do it. It is suggested that such a pattern reflects the posture by snake motivated to attack a target prey. Snakes lift heads just before the attack. My original discovery is even unmature small toad react in same way. Good job, child toad!
